June 2017 news

25th June:

Eleven members attended the Yateley competition, to great success. The weather was kind, with a bit of cloud, a bit of sun, but nice temperatures. A few people are bronzer (in two ways) than they were before. - Gents recurve: Richard (946) came first, Mark came third (908) - Ladies recurve: Jo came third (844) - Ladies Junior recurve: Jodie came first (895) - Gents Junior recurve (full distance): Alex came first (812) - Gents barebow: David came second (732) - Gents compound: Dave came third - We won the team competition (Richard, Mark, Rob (856), Jodie) - Ian (247) won the black colour prize in the Longbow class - Jodie & Alex won their classes fun knock-out competitions, and Richard came second in the gents. - Terry (787) and Steve (822) came home with no prizes, but with a better sun tan!

20th June:

Bill, Richard, Steve, Lee & Priestleys' en mass, went to shoot the woods,- we had great fun, only lost one arrow!

10th June:

Mark Davies has received his white WA Target Award for shooting 517 in the Old Basing WA18m held in February this year - well done Mark!

4th June: Jodie acheived her 252 at 40yds!

3rd June: We held our monthly Warwick shoot today - just a few of us today - the rest of you missed the fantastic weather! Scores were as follows: Mark: 386, Steve: 276, Mike: 338, Alex: 288 Robert and Dominic shot a short Junior round, and scored 295 and 215 respectively.
