Five go to Basing
Five members shot at the Battle of Basing this weekend, and achieved some good results:
They shot a double round - a WA25 followed by a WA18.
Recurve
Richard came 5th with a score of 1098
Chris came 36th with a score of 943
Matt came 44th with a score of 827
Jodie came 1st (U16 ladies) with a score of 991
Barebow
David came 16th with a score of 168
Richard was also part of the Hampshire team, which came first overall, beating Surrey, Oxford, Essex, London and Berkshire who all fielded complete teams.
Richard also took part in the "Nerves of Steel" competition, where a ring of steel is placed on the target which becomes smaller and smaller after each round. This year, 7 people (including Richard) shared the title as they all hit the steel on the same round, leaving no clear winner.
