Hampshire Open - Day 2

Most of the team here - Eric and Bill had vanished, and Alex's father was daft enough not not notice he wasn't there 🙂

Day 2 saw a record number of members shooting - in total, 15 members were there. We were shooting in a new hall this year, a fantastic venue, and extremely well run by HAA - Andy Caine (Old Basing) ran the scoring with great efficiency - and shot in all rounds!

This was the Hampshire championships Portsmouth round - 13 of us shot the morning session, then went for a pub lunch (thanks to Ian for organising) whilst Bill and Eric shot the afternoon session. A few of us went back to watch the award ceremony, and collect awards:

  1. Richard came 2nd - he was pipped to 1st by 5 points, but the chap he beat on day 1!

  2. Alex came 1st in gents U18

  3. Jodie came 1st in ladies U14

  4. Richard, Steve, Jodie came 1st in the mixed recurve team comp.

  5. Bill and Kosila came 3rd in the barebow team comp.

Overall placings for our members were:

Gents recurve:

  1. Richard 2nd (582), Steve 8th (565), Mark 16th (547), Rob 20th (541), Alex 21st (540), David P 23rd (536), Mike

30th (518), Gary 32nd (512), Terry 33rd (504)

Ladies recurve:

  1. Jodie 3rd (544)...sadly she doesn't get a bronze here, as she was in the U14 category!

Gents compound:

  1. Steve 18th (543)

Gents longbow:

  1. Eric 9th (237), Ian 10th (232)

Gents barebow

  1. Bill 8th (503)

Ladies barebow

  1. Kosila 9th (341)
